There will be no countdown on New Year's Eve this year.
MCZ's producer KAWAKAMI did a video stream on Instagram last night.
There, he announced that the annual MCZ-organised event Momoiro Uta Gassen, which will take place at the Nippon Budokan on New Year's Eve this year, will be held during the daytime, starting at 14:00 and ending at 18:00, unlike in the past.
As a result, the scene of MCZ performing live at the moment of New Year, which was a tradition until last year, is not likely to be seen this year.
Following this announcement, some speculated in the comments section that MCZ would return to the NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen, but producer KAWAKAMI implicitly denied this.
Other details of Momoiro Uta Gassen 2024 will be announced in mid-November.
