MCZ will once again provide the entrance theme song for Tanaka this year

It has been announced that MCZ will once again provide the entrance theme song for Yomiuri Giants pitcher Tanaka Masahiro for the 2026 season.

The title of the new song is "SECOND ROUTE".

It is a stadium rock number themed around a journey, carrying a passionate message about striving toward the scenery that lies beyond one's limits.

This marks the 13th original support song that MCZ has provided for Tanaka.

Tanaka Masahiro is now in his 20th professional season.

Although he struggled statistically last year, he somehow managed to achieve 200 combined wins in Japan and the United States, becoming only the fourth player in history to do so.

This season, he has relied on crafty pitching mixed with off-speed breaking balls, and through seven appearances has posted a 3-2 record with a 2.72 ERA, serving as one of the Giants' starting rotation pitchers.

Tonight is scheduled to be Tanaka's eighth appearance of the season, but by coincidence all seven of his previous games have been away games, making today's outing at the Tokyo Dome his first home appearance of the year where his entrance song will be played.

Tanaka commented on the new song as follows:

This year, I requested a song with a slightly different atmosphere from previous years. When I listened to the completed track, it felt very fresh and really got me fired up!
