MCZ's "Oniーsan" became ill.
The TV personality HIROMICHI Sato, a.k.a. "Hiromichi Oni-san (means 'brother')," who had been "Taiso no Oni-san (means 'man who is an expert on gymnastics')" for 12 years on NHK's children's TV program and was loved by many people, announced in his own handwritten letter that he has become paralyzed in the lower half of his body and is unable to walk.
He became ill on June 2, and suddenly became paralyzed in the lower half of his body and could no longer walk. The name of the disease is "spinal cord infarction."
HIROMICHI commented as follows.
Unfortunately, I know that there is no effective treatment for 'spinal cord infarction.'
I cannot walk at all now.
I don't know how far I will be able to recover through rehabilitation, but I will face reality, do my best to do what I can now, and look forward to the day when I can see you all again.
HIROMICHI oni-san and MCZ have performed together on many stages and TV programs before.
MCZ has also choreographed a song that MCZ performs as "Momoclo Chan Z" on the children's educational program "Goo-choki-party".
HIROMICHI also supervised the gymnastics portion of the "Atarashii Taiso (means 'New Gymnastics') (later became the song "MEKIMEKI")" that was released this year as part of the "Karada Ugokase (means 'Let's Move your body') Nippon Project" between the MCZ and the Japan Post Group.
In response to this announcement, MCZ producer KAWAKAMI commented on X as follows.
There is no doubt that the Oni-san (brother) of Mononofus is HIROMICHI.
The four are also indebted to him.
We will continue to support him.
