A senior idol passed away suddenly.
The sudden death of MIHO Nakayama, an idol of yesteryear who was very active in the 1980s, is reportedly making headlines in the Japanese media.
MIHO Nakayama debuted in 1985 with "C" and had a string of hits.
She was also active as an actress, gaining popularity in many TV dramas and films.
Today, she was scheduled to perform a Christmas concert at Billboard Live in Osaka (where SHIORI performed solo just last month), but when she failed to show up at the venue, staff went to her home and found her dead in the bathtub.
Although MCZ did not perform together directly, they were senior members of the same record company (KING Record).
KANAKO had sung MIHO's signature song "Iro White Blend (means 'Color, White Blend')" as a solo on several music programs, and SHIORI had also performed MIHO and WANDS' collaboration song "Sekai ju no dareyori kitto (means 'Better than anyone in the world')" at the Momoiro Uta Gassen.
We pray for the repose of her soul and hope that the health of the idols who are still active in the field will be taken into consideration.
