Economic Impact of the Spring Live Event is Approximately $4.5 Million.

On April 8, the city announced an estimate of the economic effect of the "Momoclo Haru no ichi daiji," a community revitalization live performance by the MCZ held in April in Shibata City, Niigata Prefecture, totaling approximately 648 million yen (about $4.5 million when converted to US dollars).

According to the city, the total consumption (sales) of the event as a whole, centering on live performances, was approximately 648 million yen.

Of this amount, approximately 352 million yen was spent in the city, exceeding the 345 million yen spent in Kameoka City, Kyoto Prefecture, where the previous year's event was held.

The average per capita spending was approximately 67,000 yen for overnight visitors and 16,000 yen for day visitors.

Mayor Nikaido said at the regular press conference on August 8, "Mononofus has made the charms of Shibata City known throughout Japan through social media."
