Dark Clouds Over MCZ's Event in China.

As Japan-China relations rapidly grow tense following Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi's comments in the Diet regarding a potential Taiwan contingency, Mononofus are expressing concern, asking, "Will everything be okay?" regarding the group's scheduled appearance at an event in Shanghai later this month.

As previously reported, MCZ is set to perform on November 29 at the Bandai Namco Festival 2025, which will be held in Shanghai, China, from November 28 to 30. Tickets sold domestically in Japan have reportedly already sold out.

China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a notice urging Chinese citizens to refrain from traveling to Japan, raising concerns that people-to-people exchanges between the two countries may rapidly decline. In the past, cultural and sports events have often been canceled or postponed during periods of deteriorating Japan-China relations, and many can only hope that this event will take place without incident.

Addendum:

Yoshimoto Kogyo, Japan's largest comedy agency, recently announced that all four performances of the "Yoshimoto Comedy Special" at the "11th Shanghai Comedy Festival" scheduled for November 20-22 in Shanghai have been canceled "due to unavoidable circumstances."

MCZ's event is scheduled for the following week, so there are concerns about the impact.
