One fine play puts KANAKO in the spotlight.

A fine play was made yesterday in an official NPB game between the Tokyo Yomiuri Giants and the Hanshin Tigers at Tokyo Dome.

In the top of the 4th inning, MORISHITA of the Tigers hit a sharp pitch that KADOWAKI of the Giants, playing shortstop, jumped high and made a direct catch for the out. (below)

The Nittele NEWS website reported on this play with the headline, "It's like Momo clo," drawing attention once again to the "Ebizori (means 'Shrimp-like') jump" in KANAKO's 'Ikuze Kaito Shoujo.'

However, some netizens are getting excited, comparing and discussing this play with KANAKO's jump, and commenting that KANAKO's jump is of a higher level.

(KADOWAKI's goal was to catch the ball, so we don't think the flexibility of his jump has much to do with it...)

For reference, here is an example of a past KANAKO "Ebizori (means 'Shrimp-like') jump" from a 2013 article in Natalie.
