LumiUnion celebrated its 6th anniversary.

LumiUnion, the idol group produced by MCZ member AYAKA in her role as PPP (Pink Playing Producer), marked its 6th anniversary and held a commemorative live broadcast on YouTube last night.

(The stream remains available as an archive and can be viewed below.)

LumiUnion was originally formed in 2019 under the name Namie Joshi Hatsu Kumiai (abbreviated as JA-NAMIE).

The origin dates back to March 11, 2019, when MCZ visited Namie SoSei Elementary and Junior High School in Namie Town, Fukushima Prefecture, which had opened in 2018. There, they said, "Eight years have passed since the Great East Japan Earthquake. We want to do what we can."

From that point, concrete discussions advanced, and with the town's support for Momoclo's desire to help the community through idol activities, the group’s concept was shaped together with local residents. As a result, JA-NAMIE was formed in November 2019.

December 8 marks the day of their first regular event.

Since then, member changes and a redefined position to expand activities from Namie Town to the entire country have taken place, and in June of this year the group became the current LumiUnion.

LumiUnion aims to deliver seeds of smiles across Japan while also promising to return to Namie Town on a regular basis.

We look forward to many more achievements from them.
