The theme song of a hugely popular anime is changing.

It has been announced that the opening theme song Odoru Ponpokorin for the nationally beloved anime Chibi Maruko-chan, which MCZ has been in charge of for six years and eight months since spring 2019, will be handed over to the next artist.

The final broadcast featuring MCZ will air on 12/21, the same day as their Christmas live show, and from 12/28 the role will be taken over by Ado. It was also revealed that Ado version of Odoru Ponpokorin will be arranged by Hyadain, who has close ties with MCZ.

Chibi Maruko-chan is a massively popular anime that marks 35 years since the start of its broadcast this year. Its opening theme song Odoru Ponpokorin became a major hit with B.B. Queens and has since been covered by many artists, including Kaela Kimura, E-girls, and Golden Bomber.
