Today might be the last chance to hear MCZ at Tokyo Dome.

In NPB, Yomiuri Giants pitcher MASAHIRO Tanaka will start today at Tokyo Dome against the Chunichi Dragons.

As we’ve reported a few times, MASAHIRO moved from the Eagles to the Giants this year to chase the milestone of 200 wins combined across Japan and the U.S., and he’s kept at the challenge. So far this season he has appeared in nine games with a 2 -4 record and a 5.31 ERA - not exactly ideal. Over the summer, he also spent a long stretch in the minors to reset.

He finally notched win no. 199 on 8/21, raising hopes for the record, but then took the loss in three straight starts. Today’s game on 9/30 will be his final outing of the year.

To support Masahiro’s record chase this season, MCZ provided a new song, “Acceleration,” as a cheer anthem. The last four games were on the road, so the song wasn’t used, but tonight the Giants are back home at Tokyo Dome.

“Acceleration” fires up Masahiro with lines like these. With his contact for next year still unknown, we dearly hope he reaches this historic milestone.
