A Mononofu Became a Silver Medalist
Last night, the women's singles free skate at the Milano Cortina Winter Olympics was held, and in a remarkable achievement, Japanese skaters claimed second, third, and fourth place.
Among them, silver medalist Kaori Sakamoto had previously spoken about Momoclo on TV, and that topic is now generating excitement among Mononofus.
At the end of last year, on a talk show on Fuji TV, Kaori appeared alongside three figure skaters. She shared that her first connection with Keiji Tanaka, who was also present and has since retired from amateur competition and is now active as a professional men's figure skater, came through Momoclo.
According to footage from that time, Kaori and Keiji bonded and became close after enthusiastically discussing Momoclo's song Wani to Shampoo.
Kaori has publicly announced that she will retire from competitive skating at this event, and she is expected to be active in various media appearances and ice shows going forward.
In the past, Momoiro Clover Z invited figure skater Fumie Suguri as a guest to one of their large-scale winter concerts, creating a spectacular stage performance. As a result, anticipation is growing for a future collaboration with Kaori.
