Tomoyasu Hotei is best known as the guitarist of BOOWY, which enjoyed massive popularity in the 1980s, and he has also been active as a member of COMPLEX, the band he later formed. He has pursued an active international career as well, and his track "BATTLE WITHOUT HONOR OR HUMANITY," provided for the film "Kill Bill," has received high acclaim around the world.

HOTEI FES will be held over two days, July 25 and 26, at G Messe Gunma in Takasaki City, Gunma Prefecture, Hotei's hometown. In addition to MCZ, the Day 1 lineup includes 10-FEET, MAN WITH A MISSION, and HOTEI himself.

HOTEI provided the music for MCZ's signature song "Saraba, Itoshiki Kanashimitachi yo," and he also participated as a guitarist on their recent killer tune "MONONOFU NIPPON."

At MCZ's large-scale summer live show in 2013, which drew an audience of 60,000 at Nissan Stadium in Yokohama, Hotei made a surprise appearance at the opening and performed a solo guitar rendition of Japan's national anthem "Kimigayo," marking the start of the concert.

In recent years, he has continued his connection with MCZ by sending messages to the annual Momoiro Uta Gassen, among other gestures.
