12 years since their last appearance at ’Dream Festival’

Yesterday, TV Asahi announced the first lineup of artists for the "15th Anniversary TV Asahi Dream Festival 2026," a music live event hosted by the network, officially confirming MCZ's participation.

The festival will be held over three days, November 21 (Saturday), 22 (Sunday), and 23 (Monday, national holiday), at K-Arena Yokohama in Kanagawa. MCZ will perform on the opening day, November 21.

The event launched in 2011 and celebrates its 15th anniversary this year. In recent years, it has primarily been held at Makuhari Messe, but this time the venue will move to K-Arena Yokohama. The opening-day lineup includes A!group, Novelbright, and Marcy, while Momoiro Clover Z will be making its first appearance at the festival since 2014, marking a 12-year absence. The press release describes the group as delivering "a powerful performance worthy of the 15th anniversary to get the venue rocking," prompting excited reactions from Mononofus.

MCZ had not been included in the lineup for the idol festival "GIFT - Girls Idol Festival Tokyo -" organized by the same TV Asahi and scheduled for the following week, November 27-29, at Toyota Arena Tokyo and SGC Hall Ariake. This had led some Mononofus to express concern.

However, the announcement of MCZ's appearance at Dream Festival has brought a wave of relief, with fans welcoming the fact that the group has secured an opportunity to perform on one of TV Asahi's major stages.

With MCZ already having a packed schedule of its own live events in the fall, including the "Autumn Tojin-sai" and the Christmas tour "Momoclo Delivery," appearing at a large-scale festival organized by a television network can be seen as a valuable opportunity.
