KANAKO Performs with Pink Lady

KANAKO appeared at "Legend, Now and Forever," a 50th anniversary tribute concert celebrating the debut of legendary idol duo Pink Lady, held this Tuesday at LINE CUBE SHIBUYA in Tokyo.

The concert was held on the exact anniversary of Pink Lady's debut, bringing together all the artists who contributed to the tribute album "Pink Lady Densetsu Now and Forever -50th Anniversary Tribute Album-," which was released the following day, on the 26th.

Tickets sold out immediately, reflecting the event's immense popularity. The lineup included Moritaka Chisato and Watase Maki of LINDBERG, Hitoto Yo, Suzuki Airi, Arai Sae and Ito Momoka of AKB48, as well as surprise guest Shirota Yu.

During the first half of the show, KANAKO performed "Nagisa no Sindbad" accompanied by dancers. In the second half, Kanako, who has previously performed with Kei of Pink Lady, Masuda Keiko, delivered a passionate solo performance of "Southpaw," reportedly dedicating the song to her shared hometown of Shizuoka.

King Records' official X account posted that KANAKO performed "Nagisa no Sindbad" and "Southpaw," followed by the release of approximately 27 seconds of backstage and performance footage.

KANAKO's Instagram also featured a photo of her with Suzuki Airi, her high school classmate, with whom she shared the stage at the concert.

In addition, AKB48's official X account posted a group photo with the caption, "We got to take a photo with Kanako." The post included a three-shot of Sae, Momoka, and Kanako. As previously reported, Ito Momoka was once affiliated with Stardust Promotion and was, for a period, a junior to KANAKO within the agency.
