MCZ's sister group announced its dissolution.
TEAM SHACHI, which boasts the second longest career as MCZ's sister group after Shiritsu Ebisu Chugaku, has announced that it will disband in December this year.
A video announcement is available on their official X-account. (below)
TEAM SHACHI made their ‘street debut’ on 7 April 2012 at Nagoya Castle in Aichi Prefecture under the name ‘Team Shachihoko’.
In October 2018, the team changed its name and restarted as the four-member TEAM SHACHI.
Going forward, they will hold their 'last live performance in Tokyo' on 21 September at the Tachikawa Stage Garden in Tokyo.
They will then bring their 13 years and eight months of activity to an end with a performance scheduled for December in their hometown of Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture.
HONOKA has released the following comments.
We, TEAM SHACHI, will disband in 2025. We have been active for 13 years since we started performing when we were in junior high school, and we never thought we would be able to perform for such a long time.
I think there are a lot of feelings about ‘breaking up’.
When I think about the feelings of everyone who has supported us, I feel bitter and sorry.
I myself was of course conflicted about making this decision, and I spent a lot of time, had a lot of discussions and thought about it so much that I can't sum it up in a few words.
