The group produced by AYAKA is changing its name.

JA-NAMIE (Namie Joshi Hatsu Kumiai), of which AYAKA is the PPP (Pink Playing Producer), has posted a notice on its official website, announcing that the group will change its name.

The name JA-NAMIE was intended to mean “a union initiated by girls for Namie town (a town in Fukushima Prefecture where many townspeople have been evacuated due to the damage caused by the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant following the Great East Japan Earthquake)”.

However, at a live concert in Namie in March, they announced that they would be expanding their activities nationwide, and it appears that they will be changing their name to something more suitable.

The group has decided to change its name in order to further develop and contribute to the local community.

With the change of group name, the Group intends to further strengthen its efforts to revitalise the local community.

The new group name will be announced at a later date.
