A new sister group has been born.
Stardust Promotion, the same agency as MCZ, has announced the debut of a new girls’ group, Straight Angeli. Their first digital single, “STARlighT,” will be released on November 1.
The name Straight Angeli embodies the group’s concept of “Kawaii Rock” and the hope that they will “become beloved by everyone like angels.”
The group consists of six members, four of whom were previously part of BREAK TIME GIRLS, a girls’ pop unit from Stardust Promotion’s Osaka branch that disbanded in December last year. Notably, BREAK TIME GIRLS also appeared on the outer stage at MCZ’s spring concert held in Kameoka, Kyoto, last year.
The debut song “STARlighT” was produced by Kenta Matsukuma, who is known for producing artists under WACK such as BiS and BiSH. Although Matsukuma has worked with Stardust in the past, their collaborations have been rare in recent years, making this release a highly anticipated one.
