RENI Attends the Premiere Screening of Her Drama.

Yesterday, RENI appeared at the premiere event for the smartphone-exclusive vertical short drama “Saigo no, Arigatou.” (means“The Final ‘Thank You’”), in which she plays a featured role.

The work consists of episodes only a few minutes long, designed for viewing on a smartphone’s vertical screen. Across 60 episodes in total, this serialized drama is based on the novel of the same name by Norihisa Tomiyasu, CEO of the funeral service company Tear, which depicts his life story.

RENI appears in Episodes 26 - 28, titled “The Meddlesome Funeral Director.” She plays a mother confronting the death of her mother-in-law, with whom she had long-standing resentment over family tensions. Regarding the filming, she revealed, “People usually see me as someone who’s always smiling, but for this role I threw away my smile and expressed feelings of bitterness and resentment.”

According to RENI, her fellow MCZ members who watched the series teasingly commented, “So you can actually look your age!”

The drama can be watched for free on YouTube, where new episodes are being released on the following channel:
