AYAKA Visits the Disaster-Hit Area Once Again.

AYAKA has once again visited the disaster-stricken town of Machino in Wajima City, accompanied by two members of LumiUnion, the group she produces - MIA Yuduki and MOANA Chihama.

Wajima City was one of the areas severely affected by the Noto Peninsula Earthquake that struck on January 1, 2024. This marks AYAKA’s second visit to the region, following her trip in June. In particular, the Machino district established a temporary community radio station to support recovery efforts, which has partnered with the FM station in Onagawa, Miyagi Prefecture - a community that MCZ has long supported since the Great East Japan Earthquake. Because of this connection, AYAKA has continued providing aid centered around that collaboration.

Through LumiUnion’s activities, AYAKA has been raising funds and has collected more than 3 million yen so far for the “Machino Support Fund.” During this visit, she stopped by a local nursery school, spending time and interacting with the children - a scene that was featured in the local newspaper.

AYAKA commented as follows.

I want to keep being a source of strength for Machino. Next time, I’d like to come back and have fun here with the other members too.
