The Filming Location for MCZ's Music Video Will Be Closed.
In Ashikaga City, Tochigi Prefecture, located on the outskirts of the Tokyo metropolitan area, the open set "Ashikaga Scramble City Studio," which faithfully reproduces the famous scramble crossing in front of JR Shibuya Station, will close at the end of December.
This set was established in June 2019 on approximately 1.5 hectares of land that once housed the former Ashikaga Racecourse. It was built as an open-air studio replicating the Shibuya scramble crossing area for film production.
Originally, it was intended to be used for three film projects.
However, due to its exceptional value as a filming location, it was preserved under the name "Ashikaga Scramble City Studio" and has since been used in numerous film and music video productions.
The location was featured in MCZ's recent hit song "MONONOFU NIPPON," allowing for dramatic scenes involving fire and horses that would have been impossible to film at the actual Shibuya crossing.

Comparing how each work used the set could make for an interesting viewing experience.
