TANAKA Reaches 200 Wins, MCZ Releases a Commemorative Video

As reported yesterday, Yomiuri Giants pitcher Masahiro Tanaka, long supported by MCZ, delivered a strong performance against the Dragons, pitching six innings and allowing only two runs to earn the win. With this, he achieved the remarkable milestone of 200 career wins across Japan and the U.S. - only the fourth player ever to do so.

In response to this news, MCZ released the latest live performance video of Tanaka’s walk-up song for this season, “Acceleration”, on their official YouTube channel immediately after the game ended.

The footage comes from their summer concert at Yokohama Stadium on August 3.

While yesterday’s article suggested that Tanaka’s days on the mound might be coming to an end, in his postgame interview after achieving this milestone he commented, “This is not the end yet.” He hinted at taking on the postseason and even continuing into the next season.

For MCZ fans, there’s hope that a new cheer song might also be on the horizon.
