A junior group takes the top spot.
The new idol group Straight Angeli, which was debuted last fall by Stardust Promotion, the same agency as MCZ, achieved first place with its 1st single CD STARlighT, released on January 1, 2026, on the Oricon Daily Single Ranking dated 2025/12/31.
In addition, on the weekly single ranking for that week, the group placed second, following the top-ranked Kis-My-Ft2. Estimated weekly sales are said to have exceeded 10,000 copies.
Straight Angeli is not part of STAR PLANET, which has seen a series of disbandment announcements since the end of last year, but instead belongs to Plough Music, a different label within Stardust Promotion.
Their concept is defined as Kawaii Rock, and the debut single is sound-produced by Kenta Matsukuma, who has worked with many artists including BiS and BiSH.
