Member of sister group announces graduation

Julia An, a member of the MCZ sister group Cho Tokimeki Sendenbu, which was the most momentum-filled group last year, has announced that she will graduate from the group following the large-scale live concerts Tokimeki Spring Grand Stage 2026, to be held on March 28 and 29 at Pia Arena MM in Kanagawa.

Cho Tokimeki Sendenbu has scored a series of smash hits since around the year before last, and their song "Cho Saikyo," released last year, topped the TikTok music chart for six consecutive weeks, showing the group is at the height of its popularity.

Currently, under Stardust Promotion, only three female idol groups are able to regularly hold live shows on a scale exceeding 10,000 attendees: MCZ, Shiritsu Ebisu Chugaku, and Cho Tokimeki Sendenbu.

Tokimeki Sendenbu was formed in 2015, and Julia joined the group midway in 2018 as the member in charge of the second-generation color purple.

The message released by Julia herself mainly conveys the following points, and appears to suggest a nuance of retiring from idol activities altogether.

At present, my classmates are at the age of graduating from university. As friends of my generation begin taking on new challenges in new worlds one after another, I have also come to think more deeply about my own future.

In the midst of this, as the group continued to grow larger and our dreams expanded more and more, I began to feel that I could not keep up. I also became more conscious of my own goals and dreams, my studies, and my future, which I had not thought about so deeply before. When thinking with my own life as the axis, I found myself often worrying about what choice would be best.

As time that does not stop moved forward, I seriously faced myself and took a close look at who I am. It was a difficult decision, but I chose the path that I believe I will not regret.

Regarding my future activities, I would like to continue to face myself sincerely each time and make decisions accordingly.
