Hikaru celebrates her birthday

Yamamoto Hikaru, currently the main bassist for MCZ's backing band (Downtown Momoclo Band), celebrated her birthday today and turned 27.

Hikaru started playing bass at the age of 14 and began posting bass performance videos on YouTube around the age of 19. One of those videos caught the attention of Sakazaki Kohnosuke from THE ALFEE, which led to her guest appearance in 2019 on Shiokouji no Odaiba Folk-Mura NEXT, a program hosted by Sakazaki and Shiori. From the following month, she was selected as the bassist for the show, and eventually began performing as a bassist for MCZ's backing band, the Downtown Momoclo Band.

From the summer of 2020, she joined YOASOBI as a support bassist, and in 2023, she formed the four-member band Aooo, where she is also gaining popularity as part of the group.

On Aooo's X account, a video celebrating Hikaru's birthday has been posted.
