With the announcement of the film's new cast, it was revealed that Shiori will play Kakei Renon, a nurse at the Metropolitan Police Department Clinic.

The film tells a new story centered on the series' protagonist,  Aoshima Shunsaku (Oda Yuji).

The "Odoru Dai Sousa Sen (English title 'Bayside Shakedown') " series has remained one of Japan's most beloved entertainment franchises since the television drama first aired in 1997.

Released in 2003, "Bayside Shakedown 2" grossed 17.35 billion yen at the Japanese box office. It held the record as the highest-grossing live-action Japanese film of all time for 22 years. Although it was finally surpassed last year by the hit film "Kokuho", it still ranks second on the all-time list.

The "Bayside Shakedown" series has been directed by Motohiro  Katsuyuki since the original television drama.

Director Motohiro, who is well known as a mononofu, first worked with MCZ when he directed the group's 2015 starring film "Makuga agaru". Since then, he has also directed the musical "Do You Wanna Dance?" and "Momokuro Ichiza Special Performance", among other projects, and has maintained a close relationship with the group.

Now, Shiori has finally been cast in his signature franchise, making this an especially exciting development for mononofus.
