A surprising announcement was made by MCZ's sister group
Shiritsu Ebisu Chugaku, the sister group of MCZ, unexpectedly announced changes to two members' official colors during the Osaka performance of their spring tour on July 5.
Member No. 16, Sakurai Ema, will have her member color changed from Honey Orange to Orange, while Member No. 17, Nakamura Yuna, will change her member color from Milk Tea to Pink.
Previously, Orange was the official color of former member Kashiwagi Hinata, while Pink belonged to former member Hoshina Mirei. The two current members will therefore inherit colors that were once used by former members of the group.
Yuna's change is particularly striking, as her color will shift from Milk Tea to Pink. The announcement reportedly drew a huge reaction from the audience during the concert.
From the fans' perspective, the change also means that many of the support items they have collected over the years will no longer match the members' official colors, creating an additional burden. However, Yuna addressed this concern in a blog post, telling fans, "It's still okay to wave your Milk Tea penlights just like before."
It has also been announced that Yuna will wear a new pink costume in the music video for the group's new digital single, "Ebi Chili, Hajimemashita," which will be released on July 8. Part of the video has already been revealed in a teaser.
