MCZ Received Gifts with Personal Messages from a Legend
As previously reported, MCZ performed at HOTEI FES, the festival hosted b Hotei Tomoyasu, last weekend and received an enthusiastic response.
It has now been revealed through Hotei's Instagram that the artists who appeared at the festival were presented with special gifts from Hotei.
The gift shown in the photo is a traditional Japanese "daruma" doll.
The festival took place in Takasaki City, Gunma Prefecture, which is also Hotei's hometown and is well known as one of Japan's leading producers of daruma dolls. The gift was chosen in recognition of this local tradition.
Each daruma presented to the participating artists featured a personal four-character idiom handwritten by Hotei. In Japanese, these four-kanji expressions are traditional idiomatic phrases that convey a particular virtue or wish.
The messages Hotei wrote for the four members of MCZ are as follows.
* For KANAKO
"Shomon Raifuku"
May happiness naturally come to a home where laughter is always present.
* For SHIORI
"Kayou Getsubo"
A woman whose beauty is as radiant as flowers and as bright and graceful as the moon.
* For AYAKA
"Wagen Aigo"
To treat others with a warm smile born of goodwill and with kind, affectionate words.
* For RENI
"Saishoku Kenbi"
A woman blessed with both intelligence and beauty, possessing wisdom as well as an elegant appearance.
