The sister group of MCZ has made the shocking announcement that it will disband
Cho Tokimeki Sendenbu, commonly known as TokiSen and regarded as the sister group of MCZ, announced through its official website that it will end its activities around the spring of 2027.
The announcement stated that the decision came after many discussions between the members and staff over the course of the group's 12-year history.
It also included an apology to its fans, known as "Sendenbuin," saying, "We sincerely apologize for having to share this unfortunate news."
TokiSen was formed in 2015 with members from Stardust Promotion's Section 3, the same division to which MCZ belongs.
Although the group continued its long-running career through lineup changes and a name change, it achieved a breakthrough with the hit song "Suki!" in 2018 before reaching mainstream success in 2024 with "Saijou Kyu ni Kawaii no."
At present, the group has surpassed Shiritsu Ebisu Chugaku in both concert attendance and the scale of its live performances. Within the agency, it had grown into the second most popular group after MCZ.
The sudden announcement of the group's disbandment at what many consider the peak of its popularity has shocked not only its own fans but also supporters of other Stardust groups.
According to the announcement, the group will carry out its summer live tour and annual winter Christmas concerts before holding a final farewell concert in the spring, after which it will officially disband.
