MCZ Set to Take the Stage at a One-of-a-Kind Festival in Osaka

It has been announced that MCZ will appear on DAY 1 of the music festival "GobuGobu Festival 2026", conceived by Hamada Masatoshi of the comedy duo Downtown. 

The event will be held over two days, June 6 and June 7, at the East Square of Expo Commemoration Park in Osaka.

Hamada Masatoshi is the tsukkomi member of the manzai duo Downtown and is regarded as a legendary figure in the Japanese comedy world.

 "GobuGobu" is a talk and street-walking program he hosts on MBS TV in Osaka, and this music festival began the year before last as a spin-off of that show.

Now in its third edition, "GobuGobu Festival" will be held at the larger venue of Expo Commemoration Park East Square, offering more space than before.

On DAY 1, when MCZ will perform, the lineup also includes Aina The End, ATARASHII GAKKO!, Shonan no Kaze, and SOPHIA.

Downtown previously served for many years as MCs of the music program "HEY HEY HEY", and MCZ has appeared with them on that show as well as on several variety programs.

In addition, Hamada's son is active as Hama Okamoto, the bassist of the rock band OKAMOTOS, and he has participated in recording as a bassist on MCZ's songs "GOUNN" and "Mahoro vacation", creating another connection between them.

Expectations are high to see what kind of unique appeal MCZ will bring to this new and distinctive festival.
