The program hosted by MCZ's producer has also come to an end
"Kawakami Akira no Hitori Fundoshi Girl," a talk show hosted by Kawakami Akira, producer and chief manager of MCZ, aired its final episode yesterday on Tele Asa Douga and LoGirl.
The program traces its roots back to January 19, 2015, when it launched under the title "Kawakami Akira no Hito no Fundoshi de Hitori Zumou."
It was retitled "Kawakami Akira no Hito no Fundoshi de Hitori Fundoshi" in June of that year, and underwent a further renewal in April 2023 as "Kawakami Akira no Hitori Fundoshi Girl," ultimately running for over a decade.
Throughout its run, Kawakami served as the main host, with a rotating roster of idols from STAR PLANET (formerly STARDUST PLANET) taking on the role of weekly main MC. MCZ members and associated figures appeared regularly, and the show built a loyal following thanks to exclusive behind-the-scenes stories about the group and candid talk about live production.
The final episode brought all MCZ members together on screen, providing a send-off befitting the program's long history.
With this conclusion, all three programs connected to MCZ personnel that had been produced in association with TV Asahi have now ended.
