Momoclo's Autumn Festival Draws Huge Crowds Through Local Collaboration

The two-day event "Momoclo Autumn Tohjinsai 2026" was held at Amagedai General Park in Chosei Village, Chiba Prefecture, on October 17 and 18.

The event marked the return of a concert under the name "Tohjinsai" for the first time in ten years, since 2016.

At the same time, the philosophy of the group's previous "Haru no ichi daiji  (Spring One Big Event)" was carried forward. Partnering with Chosei Village, the concert was developed as a community-focused event. DAY 1 was themed "The Peach God (Tohjin-sama) Who Became an Oni," while DAY 2 took the theme "Worship Our Idols."

An estimated 18,000 people, including event staff and other personnel, attended on the first day alone. Over the two days, the total attendance by Mononofus and local residents is believed to have exceeded approximately 30,000, making it the largest event ever held in the village.

During the encore on DAY 2, it was also announced that a "Momoclo Memorial Museum" would be established within Amagedai General Park, the concert venue.

The museum will become a new sacred site dedicated to the Peach God (Tohjin-sama), a key symbol of the concert, preserving it as part of the event's legacy. This will establish Chosei Village as a special place for Mononofus.

According to Mobile Spatial Statistics, a population movement analysis service operated by a mobile phone company, the number of people in the surrounding area reached 23.6 times the usual level during the 4 p.m. hour on October 17.

Another notable feature was the relatively balanced gender ratio, with men accounting for 57% and women 43%. By age group and gender, men in their 50s ranked first, followed by women in their 20s. These figures demonstrate the depth and diversity of Momoclo's fan base across generations and genders.
