RENI Witnesses Guinness World Record at Onagawa Town Event

RENI took part in an event in Onagawa, Miyagi Prefecture, and witnessed a Guinness World Records achievement.

Today, RENI appeared at Onagawa Autumn Harvest Festival 2026, held at the Seaside Plaza in Onagawa, Miyagi Prefecture. The free event featured a solo live performance by RENI, along with other activities.

The event was a special project commemorating the 100th anniversary of the establishment of Onagawa Town. Its main attraction was an attempt to set a Guinness World Record for the most grilled fish served in eight hours. A total of 11,489 grilled fish were served, and the achievement was officially recognized by Guinness World Records.

RENI had appeared at an event at Funabashi Racecourse in Chiba Prefecture the previous day, where a radio program was recorded. She apparently traveled directly to Onagawa and stayed overnight ahead of the festival.

According to reports posted on social media by event attendees, RENI made the following comments:

I am going to challenge myself to run a full marathon this month, so I went for a run around the harbor this morning. They were already getting ready to grill the saury, and some people were already preparing to line up. I was really impressed by the energy of Onagawa, and it gave me a boost.

Momoiro Clover Z also wants to remain friends with the town of Onagawa for a long time to come.
