"AYAKA VACATION" Appears to Have Been an Extraordinary Tour

The two-night, four-day Malaysia tour "AYAKA VACATION", featuring AYAKA, came to an end with the group's arrival at Narita Airport on the morning of the 13th.

The tour was announced on AYAKA's 30th birthday, June 11. According to the official itinerary, participants departed from Narita on the morning of September 10 and returned to Narita on the morning of the 13th, with Kuala Lumpur as the destination.

The reference price was a hefty 420,000 yen per person based on double occupancy. Nevertheless, the tour went ahead after an extremely competitive lottery, leaving many applicants unsuccessful. Reports from participants suggest that there were roughly 80 people on the tour.

The tour was reportedly organized and operated by an affiliated company of Rakuten Travel, for which MCZ serves as a commercial spokesperson.

Reports posted by participants on X from the trip were one surprise after another.

Judging from the atmosphere of the tour announcement beforehand, it had generally appeared to be a standard package tour with a single AYAKA talk show included.

What participants actually reported, however, was something quite different. AYAKA personally took part in everything, including a welcome reception at the hotel, a champagne fight (?), afternoon tea in small groups, sightseeing in the World Heritage city of Malacca, including a scene in which she walked down from St. Paul's Hill together with participants, a buffet at Imperial Lexis Kuala Lumpur, a toast on the hotel's 53rd-floor bar where she clinked glasses with participants one by one, another toast by the poolside at Grand Millennium Kuala Lumpur, and a meal at Hard Rock Cafe. Throughout the trip, she actively interacted with participants on a personal level.

The toasts in particular drew a great deal of attention.

One participant wrote that AYAKA "clinked glasses with everyone one by one" and that "everyone kept lowering their glasses because they wanted theirs to be lower than A-rin's." Another participant asked AYAKA which was more memorable, the 53rd-floor bar or the poolside, and reported that she replied, "We can do the toast again next time, but there won't be another champagne fight."

There was also a dining anecdote from Hard Rock Cafe, where AYAKA reportedly reacted to a garlic-heavy dish by saying, "We're going to smell like garlic!" while still eating it.

What is even more notable is that almost no photos of AYAKA herself from during the events have circulated. Some participants have pointed out that photos are being kept strictly as something "for the participants only."

In her closing remarks at the end of the tour, AYAKA reportedly mentioned the Momoiro Clover Z rehearsals, festivals, the Momoiro Christmas tour, New Year's Eve, and her solo concert scheduled for the beginning of the new year, before telling the participants, "Let's meet again."

A participant also reported that one of the travel company's tour escorts said, "You were cooperative despite the tight schedule. You might see a tour like this once a year at most. That's AYAKA's fans for you."

Even Mononofus who were unable to make the trip expressed their amazement, with comments such as, "The reports are truly incredible," "She's so generous with her fans that this price is way too cheap," and "It's worth around 4 million yen."
