SHIORI Performs with an AKB48 Member and the Leader of Juice=Juice
The 184th episode of "Shio Koji Tamai Shiori x Sakazaki Konosuke's Odaiba Folk Village NEXT," a CS Fuji TV NEXT program hosted by SHIORI, was broadcast live last night. During the show, SHIORI performed with Okumoto Kairi of AKB48 and Danbara Ruru of Juice=Juice.
Kairi was invited to appear on the program after legendary THE ALFEE guitarist Sakazaki Konosuke, who co-hosts the show with SHIORI, noticed her guitar playing in an online video. Kairi has attracted attention for her guitar skills, which are considered to be at a professional level even among current AKB48 members.
During the show, Kairi performed the classic songs "Kogarashi ni Dakarete" and "Hoshizora no Distance." She also performed a duet of AKB48's "365 Nichi no Kamihikoki" with SHIORI.
This was the first time in the program's 12-year history that a current AKB48 member had appeared on the show. It was also the first time SHIORI had performed an AKB48 song on the program, despite having sung numerous songs there over the years.
The next guest was Danbara Ruru, the fourth leader of Juice=Juice. SHIORI and Ruru performed "More! Mi Amore," a smash hit by Juice=Juice.
The song had previously attracted attention when SHIORI performed it as part of the idol medley at last year's Momoiro Uta Gassen. Her performance with the original artist this time therefore drew particular interest.
Furthermore, SHIORI, KAIRI and RURU appeared together for a performance of Moritaka Chisato's classic song "Watarasebashi."
Following the show, many positive comments were posted on X and other social media platforms. The unusual collaborations, rarely seen on regular music programs, appear to have attracted considerable attention.
