RENI to Finally Take on Her First Full Marathon

RENI has been announced as a participant in the Yokohama Marathon 2026, to be held on Sunday, October 25, 2026, where she will take on her first full marathon.

The organizers announced RENI's participation yesterday as the third guest runner supporting the event. Taking place in her hometown of Yokohama, the event will see RENI both run as a participant and help energize the race as a guest.

The full marathon will start at 8:30 a.m., with the race scheduled to finish at 3:00 p.m. The time limit is six hours.

The course starts in front of the Yokohama Landmark Tower and passes through Minato Mirai, the Red Brick Warehouse and Yamashita Park before entering a section of the Bayshore Route of the Metropolitan Expressway, the only expressway section of its kind used in a domestic marathon. The expressway will be closed to traffic for the event. Runners will then head toward the finish line at Rinko Park in front of Pacifico Yokohama, with a view of the Yokohama Bay Bridge.

RENI was also named an official support guest for the Yokohama Marathon 2025 last year. She served as the starter for the newly introduced Bayside Highway Run, a half-marathon-distance event, and then ran in the race herself. According to the official results, she completed it in 1:54:30 and said, "Someday, I want to run a full marathon." This year's challenge will be her opportunity to make good on that promise.

October 25 comes just one week after MCZ's major autumn concert, Momoiro Clover Z's Autumn Tojin-sai Festival, and only five days before the opening day of the Christmas live tour, making this a particularly demanding schedule for RENI.

RENI released the following comment about her challenge:

I am thrilled to be appearing at the Yokohama Marathon as an official support guest again this year!

I ran half marathons last year and the year before, but this year, I will take on a full marathon at the Yokohama Marathon in my hometown of Yokohama!

Since this will be my first full marathon, it is truly uncharted territory for me. I want to learn by watching the runners' form and enthusiasm, and I will also put in plenty of training so that I can take on the race prepared.

Rather than focusing on my time for now, my goal is simply to reach the finish line. So, to all the runners, let's work together and aim for the finish line!

I hope you will cheer me on!
