MCZ's younger sister group is having a smash hit.

'Batten Shoujo-tai', the younger sister group of Momoiro Clover Z and based in Fukuoka, Kyushu, released a song last October that has been slowly gaining popularity and has become a smash hit.

On the USEN (cable broadcast) J-Pop Chart, the song has been in the top 10 this month.

It is unusual in Japan for a CD released by an idol group to become a hit after a delay of more than six months.

The song "Oisa" has a Japanese melody line inspired by the traditional Hakata dance "Yamagasa" and looped techno phrases that leave a lasting impression on the ears, making it an addictive and unique piece of music.
