The summer music festival where MCZ was scheduled to perform has been canceled.
It was announced that the music festival "ROCK IN JAPAN FESTIVAL 2021", which was scheduled to be held on August 7-9 and 14-15 at the National Hitachi Seaside Park in Ibaraki, would be cancelled.
Momoiro Clover Z was scheduled to perform on the stage on August 9.
The ROCK IN JAPAN FESTIVAL 2021 secretariat explained, "This year, with the theme of preventing the spread of the colovirus, we decided to reduce the number of stages from the usual seven to one, and the number of audiences to less than half of the usual number.
We can't tell you how encouraged we were by the fact that so many of them decided to participate. we're very sorry that we couldn't live up to your strong expectations and determination," they wrote.
As the reason for the suspension, it was announced that there was a request from the Ibaraki Prefectural Medical Association and 26 other medical associations in the prefecture.
Many music fans and artists who were scheduled to perform at the event have complained about the comparison to the Tokyo Olympics, which is now underway.
MCZ had scheduled a major summer concert the week before this one, and the fate of that concert was also becoming a concern.
