The number of foreign mononofus may be increasing.

As we reported five days ago, Momoiro Clover Z has released the MusicVideo of "HAND", one of the songs on their new album, on their official Youtube site.

As of today, there are about 500 comments on Youtube about this video, but there is one thing that is different from the usual trend.

That is there are so many comments in foreign languages.

Thanks to this, there is a rap part with complicated lyrics in this song, but we can learn the English translation by volunteers.

According to our rough count, about 15% of the 500 comments were in languages other than Japanese.

In the past, only a few percent of MCZ's Youtube videos were in not Japanese.

The reason for the increase in foreign fans is not clear, but one reason is the popularity of "Nippon Egao Hyakkei", which became a worldwide hit on TikTok last year.

For another, we hope that our site is also a factor in the increase in fans... but we're not sure about that.

I think the name of the song is also a huge factor. Japanese song names, whether they are written in Romanji or even in Kanji, make it less accessible and noticable to foreign fans compared to an English name like "HAND".

I see. That's a point that's hard to notice.
We try to translate kanji titles as much as possible on this site, but it seems to be difficult to search for that title name.
But the title of the new album is "Shukuten (祝典)" in Japanese..
