The NPB has been flooded with Momoclo songs also this season.

NPB Softbank Hawks ace pitcher Shuta Ishikawa, a long-time Mononofu and avowed AYAKA fan, made his second start of the season on 11 April.

As his last appearance was at the hostile Osaka Dome, this was his first game at his home ground, the Fukuoka Dome.

The focus there was on the song for this season's performance, and Shuta chose 'CONTRADICTION' by MCZ.

On the day, however, Shuta's performance was less than stellar, pitching five innings and giving up two runs.

The team won the game in the 10th inning, but Shuta did not get win count the game.

Their opponents that day were the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters, with Shingo Usami (RENI's husband) catching.

This season, the Fighters have four players competing for the catcher's job. Shingo has played in six of the 11 games so far, batting in 12, but has yet to record a single hit. The situation is worrying.
