This year too, Mononofus were honoured.

It has become a tradition that MCZ's spring live concert, "Haru-ichi", begins with a speech from the local mayor who has invited the concert to take place.

This time, Fukuyama Mayor Edahiro took the stage on both Saturday and Sunday to thank the many Mononofus for visiting Fukuyama.

In his address on Sunday, the Mayor mentioned that he was impressed by the way the Mononofus behaved, saying that he had received reports of Mononofus picking up rubbish on their way to the concert venue.

At the 2018 Haru-ichi in Higashiomi City, Shiga Prefecture, and the 2019 Haru-ichi in Kurobe City, Toyama Prefecture, there were also tweets expressing surprise at the Mononofus picking up litter and cleaning up the town.

This time, someone happened to film the event and interview the person picking up the rubbish. This Mononofu did not take the shuttle bus to the venue, but walked a long way (about over an hour?) to get to the venue.

The following tweet is from this mononofu, who responded as follows.

It was cold on DAY 1, I hope Momokuro-chan didn't catch a cold.

There are also tweets from local residents about the state of the venue after the concert.

These include: "We didn't see any rubbish at all. ","Thanks for keeping the venue so clean" and so on.

The final tweet says that, "I now know what it means for the Mononofus to 'enter the fray'". It was a great 'fight'.
