New MCZ Song Contributes to Historic No-Hit, No-Run Game
NPB Softbank Hawks pitcher Shuta Ishikawa became the 88th pitcher in Japanese history to achieve a "no-hit, no-run" game against the Lions on August 18 in Fukuoka.
Shuta has long professed to be an enthusiastic Mononofu (AYAKA fan), and it had become a tradition for him to wear a pink happi coat to cheer at the "Momoiro Uta Gassen" on New Year's Eve every year.
AYAKA also created cheering songs for shuta, such as "Shigoto Shiro" and "Shigoto shita," and has had a long relationship with MCZ.
In an interview after his no-hit, no-run achievement, Shuta commented as follows.
I think it was good that I used Momoclo's new song (MOMOMOFU NIPPON) for today's entrance song!
It seems that even in this historic moment, MCZ has not been forgotten.
