MCZ's Old Manager Passes Away.

Today, MCZ's producer Kawakami took to Instagram to inform the public that MCZ's "famous manager" TOMOMI Furuya, who had been a mainstay staff member of MCZ since its formation, had passed away last month.

Kawakami posted a nostalgic photo (as seen at Yomiuri land in 2011) on x with the comment "my buddy."

The following message was posted on MCZ's official website at noon today.

Dear Mononofus

Thank you for always supporting Momoiro Clover Z.

TOMOMI Furuya, who has supported the team for a long time, passed away on August 22, 2023.

We would like to express our deepest gratitude for your kindness and friendship during her lifetime.


Producer Kawakami conveyed this obituary to Mononofus on this day's insta-live, with tears streaming down.

He also consulted with KANAKO and decided to report the timing of her death one month after her passing, as she was a trusted staff member of Mononofus.

Details were not disclosed, but she had been hospitalized due to illness.

The day before she passed away was her 40th birthday, and she had a birthday party with MCZ members and her father in her hospital room.

The wake was attended by 300 people, including old members AKARI and MOMOKA.

TOMOMI was a behind-the-scenes staff member, but also made a surprise appearance as an angel in the center of the stage at MOMOKA's birthday event at MCZ's 2014 National Stadium concert.

Also in 2019, she appeared on a Fuji TV show with MCZ.

TOMOMI was revealed that she sleeps anywhere when she is tired from work, and she and the members laughed at some of the goofy episodes.
