SHIORI appears in English learning textbook.

An interview with SHIORI appears in the official text book of the English learning programme 'English Conversation Time Trial' on NHK radio.

The first part of the article appeared in last month's issue (February), and the interview continues in the March issue, which went on sale yesterday.

According to a comment by Steve Soresi, one of the programme's instructors, there was, for example, this episode.

This episode took place when SHIORI visited New York for language study.

"Shiori" is a rare name in English-speaking countries, so when she ordered at a coffee shop, she usually got "Shelly" written on her cup.

She thought that "Shelly" would be better understood, so she started calling herself "Shelly" from then on.

Steve commented on this episode, "I was very impressed by the attitude of unconsciously practising international communication, which is to adapt flexibly according to the situation."
