MCZ's production company illuminates the Ebisu festival.
In the coming season (mostly in August), many towns and villages in Japan hold summer festivals called 'Bon Odori'.
There, people of all ages, men and women, in yukata, form a circle around a high platform called a 'Yagura' (often where drums are beaten) and continue to dance in unison, slowly turning to a traditional tune (called an 'Ondo').
It has been announced that the area around Ebisu Station, where MCZ's production 'Stardust Promotion' is located, will also host the Ebisu Ekimae Bon Odori Festival this weekend (28 July and 29 July).
Most Bon Odori festivals are held at shrines or parks, but the Ebisu Bon Odori is characterised by the fact that it is held at the square in front of JR Ebisu Station (where station users, cars and buses regularly pass by).
And many of the set-up conditions of that venue have started to appear on Twitter (X?).
Bon Odori venues use traditional lighting called 'Chochin' for their illumination like lanterns.
The names of individuals and companies are written on Chochins in a brushstroke. This indicates that the individual or company has made a donation towards the organisation of the festival. (They advertise their names as sponsors).
At the Ebisu festival venue, there seems to be quite a few Chochins with the company name 'Stardust Promotion' and the names of many of their talents, actors, idol groups and so on.
According to some tweets, Chochins for Momoiro Clover Z, Shiori Tamai and several sister groups can be seen.
